RB Leipzig thrashed Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the Bundesliga match on Sunday night, as RB Leipzig striker Olmo and midfielder Nkunku scored goals. Olmo opened the scoring for RB Leipzig just after half-time with a well-taken goal from distance. The 22-year-old was joined by Nkunku to score in the second half, before a penalty shootout was held off in the final minute of regulation time. The game started brightly for RB Leipzig, but they struggled to break through the defense of Borussia Dortmund in the first half. However, Olmo and Nkunku were able to find the back of the net in the second period, scoring two goals each. Olmo opened the scoring early in the second half with a neat finish from close range. He then finished his hat-trick with a powerful strike that saw him into the stands with a huge roar. Nkunku also made a stunning run down the left flank and found the back of the net in the second half. His goal was followed up by another goal in the third minute, this one from distance, to make it 3-0. Borussia Dortmund tried to respond, but RB Leipzig were too strong and they sealed the victory with a penalty shootout in the final minute of regulation time. In the shootout, RB Leipzig went through with two wins to defeat Borussia Dortmund 4-2. |
