Jonathan David was born on October 5, 1942, in the small town of Newton, New Hampshire. He grew up with his parents, John and Mary David, who were both teachers and educators. Jonathan had a passion for reading from a young age and would often spend hours lost in books. As he entered adulthood, Jonathan pursued a career in education. He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Dartmouth College in 1964 and went on to earn his master's degree in educational administration from Harvard University in 1970. After completing his studies, Jonathan became a teacher at the University of California, Berkeley, where he taught courses in psychology and education. Throughout his career, Jonathan worked tirelessly to improve the lives of students and educators alike. He believed that every child has the potential to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances. He developed innovative teaching methods and programs to help students learn and grow academically, emotionally, and socially. In addition to his work as a teacher, Jonathan also served as the president of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) from 1988 to 1990. During this time, he worked to promote the rights and needs of gifted children and to advocate for policies that support their development. Jonathan David passed away on September 23, 2015, at the age of 73. He is remembered as a dedicated educator, researcher, and leader who made significant contributions to the field of education and to the lives of countless individuals.
